Default has anyone seen this before????

I just bought a 2001 SS with a Procharger P-1SC-R1 running 6psi. It has a Moser 12 bolt rear end and 3.73 gears. Its also got a Spec-3 clutch. The car only has 85000 miles on it and I paid 12000 for it. The other day I was on my way home and got up to about a 110. After I slowed it back down I cut a donut for the hell of it and thats when the **** hit the fan. I smelt oil burning so I pulled in my driveway and popped the hood. My dipstick was sticking out about two inches and the was oil spayed out of it everywhere. I cleaned it up and went to drive it and now its cutting out. I took the procharger airbox off and there was oil on my throttle body and maf. I decided to find out where it was coming from so I followed the line coming from my passenger valve cover to the intake airbox. It was sucking oil. Theres not a PCV valve or check valve in line either. Should there be? And does this line have to run to the airbox. What can I do to lower my crankcase pressure? I took all the tubes that go to the supercharger intake and clean them of oil and also cleaned the intercoolers.

This is pretty normal > the oil in the plastic hat on blower. I have a catch can and still oil gets by at times. I have never had my dipstick blow out, are you sure it was pushed all the way in? In your search efforts you will find a ton of pictures that should help out. Good luck.

Pressurizing the crankcase can lead to very bad things. Lets just hope that's all it is..

Ohh and clean you MAF. If there is oil on it that's gonna screw with the readings and cause you to run like crap. I'd pull your plugs na ddo a compression check to be safe.

If you pcv system is working there will be oil in the line. This is just a bad dizine from GM. If it cloged then you will get that dip stick pop up like u said. Let just hope it is hook up wrong. If it is not then you are getting to much blow by in the cylenders.

Try a 1 way checkvalve in your PCV line. The one from Mcmaster Carr in the other post is the one I use!

Yeah, put a check valve in the pcv line. It keeps the boost from pressurizing the crankcase.

I did a compression test and it doesnt look good. Most of the cylinders were around 160 but three tested kinda low. #2 tested 92psi , #3 tested 44psi and #7 tested about 137. All hold pressure though. Could it still be the rings. Or could it be my valves or exhaust lobes on the camshaft? My dad just bought a lift for his shop so I'm fixing to take the motor out. this will make it alot easier. Also what would be the best way to pull the motor. Ive seen it pulled out the top but i have also seen where some people drop the hole front end suspension and all. Thanks for all the input thus far. Its helped alot.

Been there, done that, 2-pistons with broken ring lands. Good luck with your rebuild.

Mine was racing a S/C Saleen, 2 pistons, now Im running forged internal shortblock with low compression pistons on 10#, much happier now. Just buy a shortblock already done, $2800 put together by guys who know these motors inside and out. Many Sponsors offer one. APE, LS1Speed, ect..

Happens all the time with factory short blocks and hyper pistons. Ring lands are gone. Well there is a upside, build a forged short block and throw more boost at it. Also make sure your tune is better cause ultimatly thats what spelled the demise of your engine.

You might also have a broken ring, whick will lead to a land failure reeeaaal soon. Limp around, save your money, and put a couple quarts in the hatch just in case that 'low oil level' light pops up at odd times...
