Black oil before and after my vortech?
Not too much, but the oil was dark!
I run the blower a couple of days without belt and the oiling system still connected, can this be the cause? Just a little oil leaking through the bearings / seals?
The PCV systems works well (+ checkvalve), ther's no overpressure in the crankcase and no oil going back in the blower inlet.
No particular noises, oil level in the engine is constant...
Am I worrying for nothing?
Between the passanger valve cover and the PCV valve I have a spring loaded check valve (opens at very low pressure) and a catch can.
Something wrong with it?
This would keep excess oil out of the throttle body, but not sure how it's reaching the filter.

This is how vortech handles the PCV system.
This of the breather is a good idea IF the oil is coming back from the valvecover to the blower inlet...
If not?
Do you have a blow off valve?
Wait...
Positive crankcase pressure would blow some fumes/oil out the fresh air breather. To avoid this you could run the line to a crank breather instead. Would be unmetered MAF air, but would eliminate the oil in there. Normally the fresh air nub sucks in fresh air, but sometimes it blows out oil also (when under WOT/Boost I believe.)
Many of us run crankcase breathers without much unmetered air problems or idle issues. If you are ok with the small amount of oil, I'd leave it. Either way is ok.

Right now the blower is disconnected and the ducting out: no oil at all

I think my checkvalve is fine, but maybe there is too much vacuum between the blower and the stock (paper) filter - this is the standard Vortech setup and may be the cause of the oil return.
You've reason: with a breather there will be unmetered air... let me try and see what happens. I can also install a little catch can in that line and see how much oil it is. Also install another less restricting filter (my old FIPK is sitting in the garage
)I'll let you know (in spring time)
Thanks for your help
