Default Vortech guys please come in

I was reading through a search and read that some members were sending in their V1 or V2 S trim blowers and having them upgraded to T trim specs. When I checked on Vortechs site the program that allows for exchanges only and they give you a $750 credit towards the $2500 price of a T trim. Is this what you guys did?? That seems a little absurd to me. I could get at least $1800 for my kit and spend less than 2 grand and get an STS kit that would make at least 15# . If anyone knows anything to the contrary please share. Id rather not have to take this whole kit off and plug the oil pan and reinstall a new kit if there is a loop hole or another option. Thanks

you can find a used T trim for much less than that. Work with what you got, changing setups is only more money and aggravation in the long run. that's my opinion though

I found that part a little confusing. How are you guys making so much power with the G trim. It has a maximum impeller speed of 65,000 as opposed to the 50,000 for the V2 S trim, but has a max CFM of only 800 when the S trim maxes at 1000 CFM. I guess Im not too familiar with what that correlates to. Im only getting around 10# of boost and spinning the blower a little over 50K.

The S-trim is a larger unit impeller etc so it can move more air but it can't be spun as high due to its larger mass etc. I only see 7lb of boost at WOT. A good cam could help you take advantage of your boost. And have you changed your springs? It is a good idea even with the stock cam..

Im begginning to see things your way. Im doing the Lingenfelter GT2-3 cam and some 918 springs when I get a chance. After that Im going to put a small wet shot on it once I get the tuning figured out. Menawhile, I'll just keep my eyes open for a used T Trim. Thanks
