Default To much boost?

I was reading the post from getmesome and I have a feeling that my motor is in bad shape. I have oil consumption > around 2-3 quarts every 5k miles. I also have a breather cap on my valve cover that smokes > not a lot but it does smoke. My plugs are very clean, and during start ups I have no smoke issues. I have not lost any HP either. Do I have a problem?

check your pcv system, and do a compression/leakdown test,if your burning that much,i would think you would see it on the plugs or some smoke

At WOT I see smoke, but it's a quick flash of dark grey smoke. I also see smoke at around 4000 rpms, but never below 4k rpms > that smoke is a dark grey as well.
