Default exhaust on sts

Well I have a borla y pipe with gmmg exhaust. But if I get the sts I want to sell the gmmg but keep the y pipe which leads me to the next point where does the sts exhaust piping connects? Can I just go on slp website and buy their intermediate pipe? Will that be enought? I have my stock exhaust but it's pretty destroy during my installation of the gmmg when I used a sazall to remove it..

The STS Pipe conects just as a Muffler would. In about the same spot. Its like Taking off the Muffler and puting the turbo in its place!

so what am I going to do without a stock exhaust? The slp one just goes right before over the axle...btw will 3 inch be too much for turbo?

I got 3" pipe. I hade to neck it down to fit the kit. It seems to be fine. If you dont have Exaust that goes over the rear you will have to get some pipe run! Lata, Ark

SLP also sells the over the axle pipe under part number 10166. The only problem I see for you is that SLP offers two intermediate pipes, one is the stock replacement(10168) and the other a 3". IF the Borla y-pipe is the stock size, the two replacement pipes will work. If the Borla is a 3" y-pipe,you will need SLP's larger intermediate pipe and probably a welding shop to reduce the over the axle pipe to fit the SLP (or have an exhaust shop bend an over-the axle pipe). If you already cut your stock exhaust off when you went aftermarket and still have it, cut the pipe as close to the muffler as possible and then have a shop weld the over the axle pipe back up (if that is where they cut it). 3" pipe is probably not necessary with the stock kit. Keeping the velocity up in the exhaust with the standard housing is beneficial. Tell me what you find as I am about to remove my stock 00 WS6 exhaust (no cutting) and order the SLP parts to use for the STS.
