car is still completely together and running and driving it to and from work every day. this is all extra thats been building up. the 'next project' is to keep it that way!

kaos there was no damage when i pulled it down it was running fine, just had the wrong rings it it and developed some nice blow by. it all has only about 5k miles on it but i was in a rush and had extra money and ordered up a wheel to wheel engine before i knew what was wrong with this one. i can get you any pics of it you like but the investment is worth a hone and new rings and bearings.. i would just pass the savings on if someone could do that on their own instead of me having to get it done.. but i do have brand new rings for it from wheel to wheel allready. also as agostino was doing with their blocks at the time it is a 5.3 bock bored to a tight 5.7 but is ls6 casting.. they claimed it was stronger and it held up fine for me.. just not the rings they put in.

just curious.....why haven't you tried to get the et down as far as you can before getting rid of it? seems like such a waste to me. with that trap speed, shouldn't you be running 9.4's or 9.5's? that's one wicked setup you've got. what's your new plans?

again i thought i had smoked a piston and invested in a new w2w engine before i had the time to get this one apart. i didnt just want more power and 'get rid of it'

it's my only car and i couldnt have it down for 3 months waiting for this engine to be rebuilt.. hell i dont even have a garage.. so it was much easier to swap out/swap in for me.

there is nothing much new with my set up.. same w2w 366ci iron block with my ARE heads i was running end of this season... i do have a new turbo on the car that is promising however .
i ran an 11.0 at 141 in full street trim (pump gas/18" wheels all that) with the new motor, old turbo on a 2.1 short time. if the car was lighter than 3800# or if i could cut a better 60 than 1.52 i would certainly be quicker than a 9.9 on tire (27" dot).. maybe next year it wil 60' better but there's no weight comming off and i'm not cutting up the car to fit 28's
