Default Recommend an ATI set up for me

Hey guys, I've got an '02 Z28. I'm looking to build a 500 rwhp/500 rwtq daily driver. It needs to be reliable and not fickle. I'm thinking ATI setup, forged 3.905" pistons, new rods, stock crank, 224/227 cam, and heads?. Lot's of questions:

1) Am I on the right track, or should I go another direction?
2) What static compression should I target and what pistons, head gasket, and CC volume to get it?
3) What specific ATI system would you recommend and what do I need to go with it, i.e., fuel pump, injectors, fp regulator, etc.?
4) Can I use stock heads (w/upgraded springs of course)? If not, which ones?
5) Can I do this for $10,000 + heads if they're needed?

I'm going to be talking to a couple of the sponsors about this, I just wanted a little education first. Thanks.

1) Am I on the right track, or should I go another direction?-Yes if you go with a SC!
2) What static compression should I target and what pistons, head gasket, and CC volume to get it? I would shoot for 9:1 and 10 PSI
3) What specific ATI system would you recommend and what do I need to go with it, i.e., fuel pump, injectors, fp regulator, etc.? ATI D1SC or F1 with SDCE 8 Rib Spring Tensioner, Racetronix 99" up fuel pump conversion with -8 feed and -6 return through a FPR of your choice, 42lb injectors minimum but you may want to go with Mototron 60 lb'ers.
4) Can I use stock heads (w/upgraded springs of course)? If not, which ones? Yes, but you will need at least Comp 918's and chomemoly pushrods.
5) Can I do this for $10,000 + heads if they're needed? Here's your estimates:

ATI Kit $4300
SDCE $700
Racetronix $300
Fuel lines, fittings and Rails $400
FPR $200
Injectors $400
Cam, springs, pusrods $750
Pistons $600
Rods $500
Boost and AF Gauges $150
Gaskets, etc $300
Dyno tuning on PCM $750 minimum

Labor $2500 (unless you do it yourself)

If you have a manual, you will need a clutch $750 + Install $300

I made 521 rwhp and 504 rwtq on a similiar set-up minus the forged rods and pistons. If you want reliability you will need forged eventually.

Good Luck, coinincidently even though I live in Cinti, Thunder Racing (Paul/Geoff) have sold me the majority of my parts. They are right near you.

yea i don't think you will be able to do it for <10,000
i'd say <15,000 is a safer guess
