Default Turbo Kits

I need help with some questions. I am trying to put a list together on what is needed for a complete turbo kit: custom manifolds, turbo, ... I tried doing a seach but would just find kits and not really what is included in the kit.

Thanks

Ok I will try to show what is in a Single turbo kit.
Turbo, wastgate, 2-3 feet of straight stainless steel tubing for the exhaust, several 90' turns, a welder, welding wire, welding gas, manifold flanges to the head, turbo, and for the crossover, several feet of aluminum tubing, serval 90' bends of aluminum tubing, turbo hose, turbo hose clamps, turbo hose 90',vacuum hose, heater hoses possible, aluminum tubing expanded joints. stainless steel tubing for the down pipe, vband clamp for the down pipe and other hot connections, fuel injectors, intercooler if over 5psi. misc strapping pieces for mounting the misc parts that can not just hang out in mid air, A TUNER, hose for the inlet side of the turbo, air filter, misc bolts for all the mounting stuff.
Oh yea a but load of money. Piecing a kit together from scratch is real expensive. You never know what is going to happen. You might have to move something like an air box or battery. Also make a mistake on welding or cutting the tubing and just start over with that piece. All in all from scratch you will need 7000.00 that includes the welder but no leasons on how to use it. Once that money is gone you will probably need a little more just for the ooops' and damm it's. Oh do not forget the first turbo picked will probably need some tweaking.
But just becuase it cost money does not mean " do not try" ever one of the major companies today started with something small that cost a bunch.

thas why its better to know someone that welds.... or you local midas or somethin the like. also a lot of measuring, lots of notes and double checking will cut down the damnits and ***** and such. also, if you can come up with cost effective yet sound ways to relocate somethings or rearrange that helps too.

Thanks for the info. I have access to most of the tools to do it (welder, pipe bender,...). I am probably not going to try though.

Unless your pipe bender is really good you will have a hard time with it, I had to buy my bends premade to fabricate my headers.

Don't forget Boost referenced fuel pressure regulator, air filter for turbo, boost / vacc gauge, boost controller, tuning software to tune your car, hose clamps (Good ones, not $0.50 specials).
