Lightbulb Another New Guy Interested in Turbos

First off I wanna say hello to everybody and thanks ahead for the help. I come here a lot but this is my first thread and first time being registered. My question is a pretty simple one. I have a 2001 T/A WS6 6-Speed. I havent really done anything yet because i wanna wait and check out getting a turbo. I am looking to try and make about 550+rwhp and 550+rwtq on the stock engine. I am not against running methanol and later i do plan on getting forged internals and upping the boost. So i am looking for suggestions on good kits and what i should probably do. Not adverse to doing any mods necessary for the power and not a daily driver. More of a Freeway racer and some weekends at the track.

I don't think its safe to run the stock rods past 600FW, seem to recall a few getting broke, you may want to post in the engine internals section and ask them how much power the stock rods can handle.

Hmmm.

Yeah im not sure waht they can handle safely, but i do know of a few vehicles putting over 550+rwhp down on the stock engine. and if the engine blows, then it just forces me to get forged internals sooner. But i am also not sure, but im not afraid to run it borderline. As it is i think i am with the DR's on the stock rear-end and launching.

Yeah I have already read the FAQ. Thanks though. I was mostly just trying to find out if anybody has done that much power on the stock engine, and what kit i should use. I am trying to find proven power and get some ideas on what to do. I was thinking of STS. Looks like they make good power, but for some reason the 1/4 times look pretty bad. And ive also had some trouble finding dyno numbers and ET's on T56 cars.
