12 Rib Belts

12 Rib Belts Just a note to all of you that are running the 12 Rib. I run a 42 inch 12 rib that I cannot get anywhere but ATI and of course they want $80.00 a pop!!. 
I had an idea of trying two 6 rib but one guy at a auto parts told me that they would overlap and not fit on the pulley and I would have to use one 6 rib and one 5 rib or two 5 rib belts.He was wrong. I called Gates and they told me their belts were cut to exact dimensions and that two 6 rib would be the exact same width as a 12 rib.I purchased two 6 rib belts from NAPA at $15.00 each. A perfect fit, You cant tell there is two belts it looks like one. So far so good. $30.00 a pop is a hell of a lot better than $80.00. Thought I would just pass this on, I know everyone is always trying to save a little cash
