STS Convertible Kit
I'm thinking about an STS kit to wake up my sleeping '02 Camaro convert.
My question is, how much ground clearance is there for the convertible kit? I've seen pics of the Hatchback kit that goes down the channel for the subframe connectors, but my understanding is the pipe for the convertible kit goes down the center of the car. Anybody install one of these and have a pic, or just an idea of how low the pipe hangs?
I'm from the Buick GN world, and a general rule of thumb for us is 10 HP per lb of boost(everything else remaining the same), so these claims of 20HP per lb seem high, but everyone seems to be supporting it, so I don't want to miss the party, but I don't want to be scraping everytime I drive in a parking lot either.
Thanks!
The LS1 STS cars are dynoing around 400 to 415 hp at the wheels.
Just curious, how "slow" are the convertibles?
Lots of info on here that you might like.
Would love to see a pic underneath one. STS is hard to get on the phone, have to find the info elsewhere.
As far as how slow are the COnverts...don't know, never ran mine, but seat of the pants, it's a snooze. Something's got to be done!!
