...and they told me the non ball bearing option would be about $300 less. Maybe I'm just special

if you sell it for $600 I will buy it, provided its in good condition.
There is a big difference between turbonetics single ball bearing turbos vs the precision and ITS DBB turbos.
Most time I see std bearing used 76's going for 600-800, maybe 900 if it's a q trim.
i think their good till about 750rwhp on a fbody
