Anyone with this set up? I am putting mine in and seem to be having some clearance issues with the tensioner and the fan motor. Anyone else have this problem? Does SDCE know of this problem?

scoot the fans over towards the passenger side and you will have to dremel down part of the plastic on the fan assembly. when you look at it, it will be obvious what to grind down.

Do you have any pics? I tried to move the fan all over the place and couldn't get it right. Where is your fan sitting? If I move it to the passanger side and put the fan in fromthe bottom the blower hits the fan motor. I cut some of the plasitic and the support fins holding the fan motor too. If I go from the top the SDCE tensioner hits the fan motor.

I think the dual fans are thier slim line.
I also tried to trim as much of the fan's plastic shroud as I could. I just need about 1/4 of an inch more and I could slide it in.

oh I know what your not doing. just remembered.
lift the radiator up and pop it out of the mounts, (on the bottom of the radiator there are rubber mounts that sit in holes) you can then push the bottom of the radiator forward and gain the space you need.

Do I have to put the rubber pieces back after? I'll give it a shot tomorrow. Sounds like it'll work. Did you have the fans mounted more on the top side or bottom?

I'm not sure yet haven't got them running. Only heard good things though.

you dont remove the rubber pieces.
you will see when you do it. just lift up on the radiator and they will pop out of the holes they sit in and then push the radiator forward.

Well just an update. Took the rubber pieces out. Gaveme more clearance but just a little short. Need to grind down the back of the fan motor a little. I think it might JUST fit we'll see tomorrow. Rain came out to play and stopped the progress.
Clearance is with the SDCE tensioner kit for an ATI supercharger.

Got it in, but how close is your fan to the tensioner bolt. Mine is resting on it. I know there is some play in the radiator and fan. I just hope that it doesn't chaff.

I have two pics of the slim line spal fans but i do not know how to insert them. I am also unable to host them here. The low profile fans are 2" thick vs. 3.25" and 4.25" dual assembly. Let me know if anyone is interested in view these. We can make shrouds any depth you need.
