Twin T70's on stock motor??...well, lets just say, if you hit the gas now, they will spool up sometime tomm . A single T70 is enough for a stock cube motor up to a certain point.

There's a difference between stock cubes and stock bottom end. He said stock cubes. If you meant putting an MP70 and the jug on a stock bottom end, go to Lowe's and buy a shovel and some Chem-dry. It'll make cleaning up a lot easier.

A single 70 would be fine for stock cubes (like Jose said). For twins on stock cubes, a pair of smaller T04-based turbos would be a good start. Maybe 60-1 HiFi or 62-1's.

Yes it is stock cubes but not stock. forged bottem end, comp. 8.5 and 6.0 heads. Solid roller. What kind of spool time could you expect from the t70s 4,000, 5,000 rpms?
thanks in advance

Somewhere in the 5500-6000rpm range.

.68 A/R MP T70's will be kickin by 4000-4500 RPM's with a good free flowing exhaust. Streetable with an automatic, IMHO. There were 2 people and now currently 1 person running twin T70's on turbomustangs.com. The first guy had .58 A/R T'netics T70's and he said he was seeing 20 pounds of boost right before 4000, on a 331 inch motor with a fairly big solid roller. I found the MP T70's spool quicker than a normal turbonetics/PTE units for some odd reason. There's a few other guys running BIG mamma jammas on turbomustangs.com, including a guy with twin GT42R's, twin T76's, twin T72's, and atleast 2 guys with twin T66's, all on street cars

Does the .68 a/r refere to the compressor or turbine housing?

The .68A/R is the turbine. As for 4000-4500rpms, maybe with an auto and big stall. But with a 6spd, 5500 at best. Heck Jim's twin PT61 car doesn't hit peak torque till 5100 or so.

Also the reason for the MP 70's better spool is the small shaft design. The PT's and T-netic units are all large shaft units at that size.

Why does the auto spool sooner?
how would a t4 t60-1 with a .105 a/r on the turbine and .60 comp. spool in a twin set up?
