Expansion in the hot side of the turbo would make the hard line idea a no-no. At least from my perspective.

Yeah, I can see where that could be a problem..maybe put a small inch section of rubber hose to provide flex and room for expansion? OK i'll stop now

rob didnt use the drain plug. they drilled under the pan. its up and over from where you drilled. more toward the front. hard to explain with out showin you. same place i put mine and i havent had any issues with it. what turbo are you going to run. i didnt have to clearence mine. also what waste gate and how much boost are you planning on running. i didnt like the hks that came with my kit, needless to say it stuck on me, but i have talked to several people and they said it is just too small for that kit. unless you are trying to run higher boost which you would not have to bleed off a lot of gas. im only running 9psi and need to bleed off a lot. but keep us updated on how things go.

ya definatly redo that drain, its not going to work well.
get a npt to 10an right angle and hook it up that way, that way the oil line is straight to the pan

i didnt like that up front position on the pan where they have the hole drilled is perfect, that hks waste gate are terrible, im using a turbonetics race-gate with mine and it works awsome!

keep us updated with pics.
fun to watch the progress

Not yet. Brian started setting up my gears last night. We might be able to put the rear end in the car this weekend if everything goes smoothly.

oh sorry... we are going to try it both ways (with the hard 90 and with the straight). Looks like both ways could have their pros and cons.
