Question Types of belts!

Seem to be having belt slippage issues with my p-1sc. I have just been buying normal serp. belts from oreilly's. Is this what I should be getting? I have the 6-rib!

Your having belt slippage problems because as the belt increases rpms when the motor revs up. The belt actualy expands quite a bit to the point it does not provide tension to the pulleys.. I've seen my spring tensioner suck up about .75" just stabbing the motor in the garage. It's worse on the road when the engine is underload.

Good luck..

I've had good results with Goodyear Gatorbacks.

Gates belts are also worth considering.
