Default STS installers PCV question

for the cars you are running higher boost on, 9psi + are you using the setup STS provides or are you doing things differently? I have had 2 blowers on the car prior and I always removed the line going into the TB, and ran a checkvalve in line with the pcv and a catch can off and ran the end coming out of the can to the atmosphere instead of back into the TB.

as you know STS provides that little solinoid thingee or whatever it is to put in line with the pcv line that goes to the TB and I assume it must slam shut under boost to prevent pressurizing the crankcase but I am still wondering what you guys are doing.

my initial thought is to take the line they have you put back into the TB and run it into a catch can and then to the atmosphere and cap off the connection on the TB.

lets hear what you guys think.

thanks!

The Hobbs switch under hood is for two things. One, to turn the pump on high and the other to switch the switch valve. This happens at 1psi. Basically, when the switch valve switches, it shuts the port that goes to the throttle body off and the crankcase pressure vents through the valve and then the filter. On one of the higher boost cars, he already had just a filter on the valve cover vent, so we left it as is.

We have gone both roughts.
On our LT1 we run a catch can vent system which is at 14psi right now, and on the LS1 the STS PCV system which has worked fine for us up to 13psi through a FMIC. The catch can check valve system would work fine too on an LS1. Preference.

I don't plan on going past 10psi so it sounds like I will be good to go.
