map sensor question i am running 13psi so i was going to order a 2 bar map sensor. do i have to retune the computer or will it just plug in and go. but i was also thinking of bumping the boost up by the end of the year. so should i just buy a three bar or buy a two bar then buy the three later.
I don't think you can just swap a 2bar on a 97Vortec unless you have an aftermarket engine system. With the 98+ LS1/LS2 stuff, the pcm looks for the 1bar and then the aftermarket guys like HPT have to customize code to make the 2bar, while at the same time satisfying internal pcm tests etc.
