Turbo AND Nitrous I am in the process of building a 383 for my car. So far I have a corvette 4 bolt main block. I am getting ready to order the rods and crank and had a few questions. I plan on running a turbo with a small shot of nitrous. Nothing more than a 100 shot. As far as boost, I really don't know. I was thinking somewhere around 20PSI on race gas. What crank and pistons should I get?
Just wondering why the nitrous with a built motor and turbo? I mean with the right motor and turbo combo at 20psi you'll make some crazy hp. I guess it could be used for spool up.
Sounds like your building a similar set-up to what I have. I run a Callies (sp?) crank, eagle rods. and JE pistons. Its put down 700 at the wheels so far. (well, before I blew out the main caps)
yeah, no mercy on that thing. I can't explain why it hasn't blown yet. The car pulls 1.4's 60', 3800lbs with me in it.
