Rear end recommendations...
Rear end recommendations... Hey guys. I'll be getting my STS done in just a couple more days. I'm going to really want to have some fun with her but I'm quite hesitant to do many hard launches for fear that the rear end might go. Just wanted to get an idea what everyone else has done, rear-end wise. Anyone else running stock rear end? Should I be changing it out as soon as possible?

Manual or auto? Manual, its always a good idea to step up to an after market axle. Auto, I'd spend money on the tranny before worrying about the rear end.

agree w/ Ryan K. Get yer tranny a good build first then get a better rear. Autos are easier on the stock rear so it'll last a lil longer as opposed to an M6 car
Ditch that GMS Maf too, it'll make ur car harder to tune. Go back to the stock de-screened unit.
Since ur in IL, call up Speed Inc and ask bout their Evil 4L60-E's. Hear they're pretty good
