Default Bov

I was hearing some talk of a BOV on a supercharged engine, and i had never heard of that. What is the purpose of a BOV on a supercharged engine? I have only heard of them on turbos, do they sound the same on superchargers as they do on turbochargers?
Thanks!

No....... they do not sound the same...... a BOV should NOT be used a a SC car.... you will get a constant chirping noise and it is anoying....... A SC kit should use a BYPASS valve that vents the air back into the system or into the air...... The problem with a BOV is it doenst vent all the time(open all the time not under load/boost) and you geta chirping sound when the airp pressure over powers the valve and at a constant rate........ ATI and Vortech both make bigger aftermarket BYPASS valves to be used. I hope you get it and dont buy one for a SC like others have latley........ How do i know?....... i bought one and hated it and sold it... money wasted.....
