I dare say in the upper boost/HP range, the header version will clearly outshine the stock manifolds. Stockers will be nice for 500-600rwhp, and I'm sure you could do more, but I would be the PR would reach 3-3.5:1.

also jz what psi was that 987 at? if i carried mine it would have been maybe over 930 at 23psi.. but i'm not real sure how comparable my turbo is from this gts one.
It was 24 psi dropping off to 21 on the top end (ran out of turbo). The 10XX was with the 88.

id say t88 is waaayyy to much turbo for stock fbody headers. just think how much hp/tq we pick up from a header swap...i mean we even get significant gains from shorties...id go with a smaller turbo unless you have some serious engine work done. and if you have serious engine work done...why not just pay the extra 1k and get the manifold kit?

MM is using an ITS 76 I believe which is called a GT76. I'm not sure whether he has the Q-trim model or R-trim model. The Q-trim ITS is equivalent to the PTE- GTQ turbine, the R-wheel is an old and heavy wheel which PTE dropped since it was very slow spooling. ITS has not moved up to the GTS wheel yet from the GT42. I do believe though they have reworked a new contract with Garrett so I believe the newer style wheels will make their way into the future ITS units. To be honest with you, the 76GTS on MM's car I believe could scratch 1000rwhp. He has the motor and setup to support it. The Q-trim wheel is his only hold back. It would be a beast for sure, or better yet the PTE-88...hehe

That's good to hear. I think you will be happy with that turbo.

Keep us updated on the project.

Im curious on what the ohio boys pressure ratio is with them using the 6.0 truck manafolds paired up with a 88/98 T6 flanged turbo and 5" downpipe..
im sure some tube style headers would work better, but how much would it help. About as much as switching a 3" DP to a 3.5" downpipe?
still if they can pump put 1500fwhp with the truck manafolds with a 403, id think there good enough. I still believe that the downpipe makes the world of difference.
wonder if they make any shortie header versions for the truck body?
