Default Need some Help choosing parts

Hi everyone.... Hope this is in the correct forum..

I need some help to choose the right combo for my intentios, i really dont know much, i have been lurking and searching arround about EFI and Twin Turbo setups..

I want to run like 25psi and produce 1200hp or more on race gas - just about to run 8s..

I have 10k for engine and so far the only thing I'm sure i need is a Dart Little M block (alu ones kinda outrun my budget).. (427 - 4.125x4.000)
Things like the proper Camshaft, Rollers, Heads and such is what really confuse me...

The turbos would be GT35/40Rs (I have contacted Phamspeed, if they can get me this turbos on their TT kit, most likely i would buy their kit)

I know you guys must hate newbies like me, but please any help would be GREATLY APPRECIATED..

I am assuming that you are not making an LSx based setup?

Honestly I would call Kurt at W2W, they have built more 1000+rwhp setups than the other shops, at least from what ive seem.

Hope that helps,

well is it going to be a LSx motor?

If so
-lunati crank
-lunati rods
-diamond custom made pistons
-total seal rings
-clevite bearings
-all pro or AFR heads ported
-GMPP carb single plane intake
-twin T070 turbos, or one t-88
-BS3, DFI gen 7, or FAST
-good tune
-TH400
-(" rear
-Indistructable frive shaft
-good driver
etc...

I have been the 427 sbc route before. I had a fuel injected tall deck 18 Dart degree SBC. The motor costed $20,000! My recommendation is to find a second hand motor. They are out there, I sold mine on New Years for only $11,000!
25 lbs of boost is good for about 1500-1600 hp at the crank and is not childs play. You need the best of everything. It will cost you $20k to build a fuel injected 427. Another $6k for the turbo stuff. NO way around it.

Off the top of my head, here is a list of MY motor cost:

BLOCK $1,900
CRANK $1,200
RODS $1,150
PISTONS $880
BEARINGS $60
GASKETS $130
RINGS $140
MACHINING $900
ASSEMBLY $600
BALANCING $300
OIL PAN $200
TIMING CHAIN $150
TIMING CHAIN COVER $25
FLUIDAMPER $370
ENGINE BOLTS $70
HEAD STUDS $155
DAMPER STUD $25
ROLLER CAM $280
CAM BUTTON $10
LIFTERS $500
PUSHRODS $130
VALVES $310
VALVE SPRINGS $270
RETAINERS $140
SPRING SEATS $10
VALVE COVERS $240
ALTERNATOR $270
ACCEL GEN 7 DFI $1,500
DISTRIBUTER $400
CRANK TRIGGER $230
HARNESS $50
PULLEYS $60
WATER PUMP $60
STEERING PUMP $200
INTAKE MANIFOLD $500
INJECTORS $500
THROTTLE BODY $900
FUEL RAILS $125
HEADS $1,800
SHAFT ROCKERS $1,150
HEADERS $600
AIR CLEANER $110
OIL PUMP $70
OIL PUMP SHAFT $20
ALT BRACKET $220
PLUGS $20
WIRES $80
P/S BRACKET $35
MOTOR PLATE $200
VALVE LOCKS $35
AN FITTINGS $240
SFI FLEXPLATE $100
FUEL REG/GAUGE $160

TOTAL $19,780

Turbo setup cost from personal experience:

3"V-BAND CLAMPS (4) $150
W/GATE FLANGES $110
U-BENDS $600
HEADER FLANGES $125
TURBO FLANGES (4) $220
3" DOWN PIPE TUBING $400
TURBOS $1,600
RUBBER TUBING $100
OIL LINES $100
OIL FITTINGS $150
OIL RETURN LINES $75
DOUBLE SLIPS $130
O2 FITTINGS $35
BOOST CONTROLLER $400
2 WATEGATES $700
50MM BOV $200
INTERCOOLER $900
MISC. $300

TOTAL =$6295

And that is without any tax, shipping or installation!!!. Some parts might end up costing a little more or a little less. But this is my experience with high end stuff I did myself.
