Default What size intercooler piping?

Hi all,
I was wondering what size intercooler piping you all would reccomend? I was originally thinking 3", but then I have been looking around and am wondering if that is too big?

I am going to be running a Phamspeed Budget kit with T-76 and OBX 3" front mount. The front mount has 3" in and out, so I was just going to keep that going, but is this too large will I be loosing too much velosity? By the way I am not sure if its going to matter, but I am planning to run around 15psi.

The intake tract is very free flowing, heads over 310cfm, GMPP single plane intake, 80mm TB, so im just curious, this basically describes my setup, so hopefully that is what everyone needs to know to answer.

Thanks
ed

FYI, I have a friend with a SBC running a pair of T67's. He has a pair of 2.75's feeding the large IC, then a 3" feeding the 78mm TB. He makes 1680 rwhp.

LOL, BTW, this is with a callies crank, eagle rods and..TRW pistons. Runs consistant 7's.
