piston recommendations for twin turbo
piston recommendations for twin turbo Building a 427ci twin turbo motor. Who makes low compression pistons and what CC's are the reverse domes?
please post specific details.....not just Diamond, Mahle or JE. I want to know the specs in detail. I would also like a piston that keeps the quench area intact.....
I am shooting for 9.5:1 compression. What do you guys think about this????
Current specs : 4.130 bore, 4.00 stroke, 63cc combustion chambers, 11.38cc Head gasket volume. 0 deck height. With 30cc reverse dome pistons I am at 9.4:1 compression.

The lower the compression the more power you'll make on pump gas. If you're looking for the ultimate pump gas setup you should aim for around 6:1 compression. We've made over 1,000 rear wheel horsepower from a 4V 4.6L 98 Cobra motor and 1 GTS76 turbo. 
As far as piston brands, anything by Mahle, JE, Wiseco, or Diamond will get it done.
