Is anyone running pistons with gas ports? Will they last on a street engine? Anyone have any experience with them?

I let cmotorsports pick all the parts for my motor and they went with the gas ports. i have about 6 months on my 408. probably 6,000 miles. 40+ dyno pulls. hundreds and hundreds of WOT runs. the motor has ran great since day one and just seems to be geting stronger. i hope to get close to 1000rwhp with it in the next month or so.

Guys im looking to purchase some horizontal gas ported weisco pistons. I have heard that if its a street car then carbon buildup behind the ring will be a problem and ultimately the ring will break. This is a brand new 402 LS2 engine im building and want to make the right call. Anyone have any personal experience with this?
