Default Planning for FI

Right now Im having a F13 cam and some other mods done pretty much a full bolt on car. Eventually I want to get a ATI D-1SC, which way should I start heading with internal engine parts high split duration cam, low comp heads/seal, low comp pistons... etc? I dont really see a thread on this about how someone that already has full boltons + cam can prepare for FI in the future. I know I will most likely have to replace the cam, but at least they aren't THAT expensive.

how much power are u wanting to make? how radical of a setup are you gonna want?

you will need to upgrade fuel components as well, injectors for sure, good possibility of the fuel pump, maybe fuel lines if you go extreme like i did. also do you have other suspension stuff like sub frames, etc...?

are you 6 speed or auto? if auto, u have a convertor? if 6 speed, what clutch will you be running?

give us some more basic info so we can help figure out what you will be capable of doing and how to achieve it.

2000 vert TA A4 with a 3500/2.1 stall, Im wanting to make around 500-550 thatd be plenty for me, so even 8 psi would be fine. Im making around 375hp right now Im guessing.

my opinion, prob go with a d1sc, 42# inj's, you might need a walbro fuel pump(which i have for sale unused if you need) matching cam, pistons should be good as long as you dont go over 550 rwhp(from what i hear thats the limit of the stock bottom end). some decent heads would work nice too, although not absolutely necessary unless your aiming for closer to 550 rwhp.

someone correct me if im missing anything...

but i think thats the general area you can be looking to head.
