Default question about supercharger

i just bought a pro charger supercharger w/ 7# and i was wondering if i would have to upgrade anything on my car other then what the kit upgrades, like pistons/crank and so on, i have an ls1 book that says pistons are good to 500hp and i think the tranny is rated for 500lb/ft so with 333rwhp and 355lb/ft tq a small amount of boost wont push me past 500 right? if i need to upgrade parts what would you recommend??
00ss w/ no serious motor work

If it is a low milage car you should be fine, provided you have had no problems in the past, if it is a high milage car, I would think about new rings, pistons and rods.

Just a thought.

Smile low milage

the car has about 65k on it and i havent had any problems with the motor, the previous owner took good care of it, but i was wondering at what point should i start upgrading the internals cause i know bits and pieces about motors and motor work but this goes more indepth and through some of my resources i hear mixed things...plus the kit comes with a FMS and the dyno guys said the injectors would be fine, those arent too bad but i just dont want to break a rod or something that serious,

thanx for the help guys

The supercharger should put you at about 450hp at the wheels based on your current engine setup...ie, nothing else done to it. That running at 6psi, which is the most our cars can run without an intercooler. If you get an intercooler, you can easily do 8psi, pushing your car to about 490hp. If that's the case, you'll probably need new injectors and especially a new fuel pump if you didn't already get one...i'm sure the kit came with one though. Since it is a SC, you could go LT's w/ ORY. That would in essence, add about what 1 extra psi would do from the SC. I'm looking to run a single turbo kit at 6psi, obviously no LT's though. SC kits are so expensive from the retailers!...$5k??? Turbo kits, although much more difficult to install I would think run under $3k! Besides that, your engine should be fine internally with the SC at 6psi and LT's. That should put you around 450-480 at the wheels, which allows for the limit our car's parts can go. Have fun...I NV U.
