Default Dyno'd the STS on 11 psi T67

The numbers were not quite as good as I had hoped. I managed 507 hp and 499 tq on the first pull. The second pull picked up 2 degrees on tip in (was odd, doesn't usually do that). Pulled 489 hp and 530 tq. The curve looked much better.

My uncorrected numbers were like 460 hp (damn vegas heat and altitude!)

I'll have to post the graphs when I get home. The graph looks bad though, it's very wavy with the smoothing on 5. It did this last time too, some have suggested a possible ignition problem, timing curves are pretty smooth.

I also have to fix an exhaust leak which is affecting my spool up.

That's right around 600 hp at the crank. Not too shabby.

i think part of the problem, well, i would go as far as saying most, is that 112LSA cam your running.

with alky, I don't need it in the cooler weather though, but run it for safety. I've seen as high as 13-14 psi on 91 octane.

Dynojet 248C. Unfortunately it did not have the load cell option which suck when you want to dyno a turbo car.

yes they do suck for that. any access to a load bearing dyno?

i bet the car is making more than that on the street. so make sure to dial the A/F in at least a full point richer on the dyno. IE 11:1 if you want 12:1 on the street.

either the cam is really killing you or you have more tuning to go. you should be well into the mid / upper 500's on 11psi IMO.

a/f is around 11.0 on the street. In cooler weather the car will dyno higher. The correction factor for weather just doesn't work that well on a turbo car.

Warm vs cool weather dyno in vegas on a turbo/supercharger car shows about a 35-50 rwhp gain/loss with no other changeds, it's bad. I still think my dyno is a little on the low side for the amount of boost.

I'm not sure if the cam hurts or not, it's got zero overlap. I'll be changing it when ever i decide to build another motor.

cam is not the cause of your problems. 112 lsa cams only bleed boost until about 2500 rpms for your application. I would expect most of your problems to be from tune and dyno. Try to find a mustang dyno to dyno on. I would expect an 11psi kit to be around 570-580.

Just to let you know,
We have the new Dynojet 224XLC with load cell and are only a few hours away from you in Vegas. I have dyno tested many turbo cars and the load cell makes them come up in boost MUCH faster and they usually make more power to the roller when we load them first then make the pull. Let me know if you would like to schedule an appointment anytime.

Or I could just go to dynojet (the company) here in town. I know people that work there.

We have many many dyno's in vegas, I think we are up to 10 public dyno's now I really wanna dyno on a mustang dyno. I might do that this weekend if I get my exhaust leak fixed. I can live with my (500+ rwhp) numbers for now. Car is tons of fun to drive

I had a 50/50 mix of 91 and 100 in the tank, timing was 13 at tq peak and 19 by redline.
