Default Wastegate vaccum connection

Ok, I forgot, I've been buying parts and finishing up this engine for to long now. Which side does the vaccum/pressure get hooked to on the wastegate? The top or bottom? Also, can I just weld a bung in the intake charge tube for the other end of the going into the throttle body, or do I have to hook it into the intake?

You can hook it up anywhere on the intake tract, including the manifold directly. You will get the "truest" pressure signal in the manifold but sometimes the WG does not like to see vacuum.
The WG itself needs to be on the "bottom" connection, or directly into the WG body. The "top" or outer connection is used for a multi-stage boost controller setup ( hook this up to the outlet side of the regulator if using ).
The closer you tap your WG source to the turbo compressor the more stable boost will be and have a lower boost spike when shifting gears. But keeping this in mind make sure to locate it AFTER any intercooler setup as any pressure drop and/or temp drop will cause an obvious boost reduction. If you tap the WG before the IC you will not see the drop and get less boost than your WG is set for.
Hope this helps.

i posted this earlier and noone responded to it.

"Im trying to figure out how i need to hook my wastgate up. i know it lets off at 8.5psi, or has the 8.5psi spring in it. there is places for other hookups like boost controller ect....do i even need to put anything on the other places or does the spring just let it out when it reaches that boost?? so pretty much it would be just the wastegate sitting on the piping with nothing comming off of it."

your talking about the vacume lines that im wanting to leave out. is that possible??

can someone respond!!?? please!!!???

No, you cannot leave the vaccum line out. You must run one from the waste gate to the intake to get a signal for the WG to open as it should.

Just PM'd ya Fletch. Wolfee said it perfect, not hooking up to your WG is bad news. More in the PM.
