Incon - Weldon 9200-A - Does It Need Checkvalve?

This is how I have my 9200 and oil return setup. You still need the check valve just above the oil filter, i.e. the supply line. I have another check valve at the oil pan (on the return line) to prevent any oil from getting out of the pan. You can also ditch your special port on the oil pan and use the oil drain or oil level sensor port. If you don't a lot of oil will flow out to the exhaust. You could put a check valve on the inlet to the pump, but that usually makes pumps a little unhappy. I have my pump set at full speed, but you might be able to get away with it at 75-89%. Pump can run some without oil in it, but I would not recommend it. You can ditch the oil scavenge tanks.

If you use the incon oil return location (which is above the oil level) then you don't need the check valve on the return line.

If it is just below the crank pulley then that should be above the oil level. Even if you add a check valve the pump will work fine.
