S/C people in here please... ok i did a search found some good info, just not a definite answer that i was looking for. gas prices are sky rocking and i went for a little cruise this past weekend to a buddys house about 90 miles round trip, and i checked my gas mileage i only got about 12mpg and alot of it was freeway. how can this be? i have a vortech v9 aftercooled blower with FLP longtubes,and y pipe, with high flow cats and the loudmouth catback. it's a automatic. I was also grandma driving too, no WOT at all, last time i dynoed it, the guy said i was running really rich, could that be the problem? i gotta get my pcm back out to ed wright to hopefully find out how rich i am running. but fellow vortech and ATI guys what do u guys usually get around about? im not crying about the MPG because i knew coming into F/I is would not be that great but i wasn't expecting SUV gas guzzuling...and info would be great guys, thanks

so u think i should talk to Ed Wright about my gas mileage and ask him to lean it out like u said?
don't do a mail order tune, get some who knows how to tune with ls1 edit. I have a Vortech car and I can get 24/25 and I have an automatic. There are sponsors here in the Michigan area that can help you out, and in the process they'll get you more power too.

ok thanks for the heads up, the only problem is that ill have to buy another pcm cause ed locks his tune, and nobody can get into it, so im gonna have to buy another one. you really think ill be better off getting a local tune then a mail tune?
absolutely, Ed is basically guessing at what's the best tune for your car. Take your car to a shop put her on the dyno put a load on it and dial in the air fuel and timing dead on, guarantee you'll walk out smiling with the extra power you get.
