Long day and a new best, D1SC/SDCE

Nice runs, I'm sure you will get some 9-second passes this year.

Going to do a light battery, kirkey seat and install the PA k-memeber I have here this week, thats ~75lbs off there so that will help. Car is about 100 pounds heavier then I thought, I forget 98s had the steel gas tank + the spohn rear sway bar is 35lbs, stuff adds up faster then I can take stock parts off
But I can hop in this thing and make 20 passes a day if I want, the drivetrain is pretty bulletproof but it sure aint light. Last edited by kp; May 30, 2005 at 01:26 AM.

KP, what is your weight now without driver?
By the way, Great times!

I weigh 235 right now so the car is 3345 with a 1/2 tank of gas. Scales do vary though and I'll weigh it again at a couple tracks. I took a ton of parts out of this car but the roll bar, blower, subframe connectors and junk put a lot of weight back on. I am surprised it weighed that much, my camaro was 100lbs less then this one with similar stuff out.
I also run through a Y-pipe and take the hooker cat back off at the track and thats costing me a little power over a true dual/open headers. This car was stock except for forged pistons/z06 cam a little over two month ago so it needs a little tweaking still
