Default turbine interchange??

I am pretty comfortable with how to size your compressor on a turbo, but the turbine I don't understand 100%... the turbine size (A/R? and exducer bore) controls at what RPM range your compressor will start to produce boost (at WOT) and where your upper HP limits are going to be, or what RPM the turbine is going to start to choke the exhaust causing 1) excessive heat in the cylinder which is REALLY BAD 2) excessive blowback and 3) serious restriction to exhaust flow.

What I want to know is... say you buy a turbo. You map the compressor out properly to your car's CFM of airflow.... but it's spooling and boosting too soon... Can you just buy a bigger turbine housing with a higher A/R and larger exducer bore? What about the turbine wheel, do you change that??

Thanks in advance!

You can just swap out to a larger A/R ratio. If that still does not effect your boost ramping or backpressure, then a turbine wheel change is needed.
