intercooler fan?

intercooler fan? This may sound a little rediculous, but has anyone considered or successfully run a fan behind their intercooler to pull air through when stopped at a red light or in traffic, etc? Or perhaps cooling down/keeping cool in between runs at the track?
The air going through the intercooler isnt hot untill its compressed, its not compressed untill you are under boost, you arent under boost untill you are moving down the road so no need for a fan. Some people are using NOS to cool the intercooler for short bursts with a spray ring on the front of the intercooler.

That makes a lot of sense for the first run... but what if you're going block-to-block? Once you heat up the intercooler and then let off... does it take long to cool back down or what?
I guess I'm a little more curious because i know my IC is not going to have a gaping wide hole cut in the bumper for it.
