Default Twin or Single turbo, whats the big difference

I am planing my build up and im just wandering what to go with twin or single. I know having 2 smaller turbos will spool up faster than one big turbo. that i know. What are the Pros and cons about the 2. My car is mainly gonna be ran at the track I try not to race on the street seeing i have a CDL licence n all but i do want to show it off on the street with ease.I am leaning twards a twin cause i can mount the turbos off the 6.0 manifolds "less hot piping to make. but can the twin turbo make as much as one big turbo and be as consistant? My goal are 9's 408ci iron block, stock crank, carrillo rods and diomond pistions and 6.0 ported heads.ls6 intake too.i will post a picture of what im working with a guy i met on here is gonna make the hot pipping for me . thanks

Twin. There is alot of advantage to twins over the single in your case. IF you have lots of cubes, you are going to have to stick such a huge turbo if its single, you will lose the off the line performance or the faster spool affect. If you have twins, then you can still have the same peak power if you want plus alittle more responce from the bottom.

The other thing I look at is design. I dont like to see crossover pipes from one header to the other. You create a pressure difference in the exhaust flow. If you want an all out race motor with turbos, then the flow to each turbo has to be equal. I would also build tubular headers with a merge colector to the turbo. Dont use a log style header. Hope this helps.

if your going to keep it on the track definatly go single, the single will be more effeceint, less complex, easier to route the piping and probably cheaper
anoither thing on some classes twins arnt allowed, just depends on what class you race.
