Default Heads:casting #873

Would these heads be any good to use on a FI motor?

Thank You,

Not familiar with those, could they possibly be #853? If so they are OK, but no different flow wise than the #241 ( 853 has perimeter cover bolts ).

They are #873.They are LQ9 iron heads off of a 2000 6.0 motor.Supposed to be just like the #317 aluminum.

Sorry about that! Learn something new each day....
My info shows the #873 iron head with the same specs as the #317 aluminum. They flow the same as the #243 LS6 heads with bigger chambers ( 72cc ).
Great fit for F/I vehicles, should lower compression for more boost. Only down side is the iron design, makes detonation more possible.
Look in the LS1/LS6 Internal engine thread for a sticky at the top ( CC vs CR I think ) for a better idea on your CR with the 72cc chambers.
