Stang 4.6 2valve FI question
Stang 4.6 2valve FI question Just a little question i had concerning what a mustang buddy of mine told me.
He said he's getting an HP twin turbo kit (52mm's i think) w/ forged bottom end but retaining stock heads/cams on his 02 GT 5sp but he'll be making over 800rwhp/750rwtq so long as he can get enough fuel too it. Im not knocking cuz i love stangs or saying he's lying but Is that power level possible with stock heads/cams?
He said its already been done using 60lb injectors but he cant remember what fuel pump or pumps & how much boost. Anyone heard of this?

I know there's a low 8 sec 2V drag radial car that uses stock heads ( pretty sure they are ported though). Makes over 1K horsepower at the wheels. I'm pretty sure it uses aftermarked cams.
i don't think those numbers are possbile without doing some work to the heads.

Went out and did some homework for you (ok....so i read an artcle in my "library"...) the mustang i was refering to ran high 8's. Stock heads that had been worked over, and aftermarket cams. No way he'll make 800 at the wheels with untouched heads and stock cams.
