Adventure at the dyno...
After reseating my crank bolt and taking a look at the pulley (the crank bolt had backed itself out last week), we headed off to the dyno. The dyno should be sending me some pics we snapped of all this next week.
Pull #1 : blow right through the tranny to the rev limiter and blew my Procharger plenum into big pieces that flew across the shop !
Fortunately Rob had a replacement plenum for me to borrow, looks like I'll be stepping up to the aluminum one. After 4k the MAF read 14% rich, so we pulled 11% fuel out. We raised the trans line pressure 15% to try to help the slipping.
Pull #2 : blow right through the converter to the rev limiter. looks like the TCI StreetFighter isn't gonna handle the 550+ rwhp power. The tranny was rebuilt in Oct by the Toy Shop so I doubt it's the internals slipping, but I will call them next week. Time to put the Yank 3000 back in I guess. After the tune changes for this pull the scan read 10% lean (looks like my MAF is bad and giving inconsistent readings, and is also maxed out which we found with the next pull). I will be getting a bigger MAF. We put the MAF table back to stock for now. Boost started out at 8 and slipped to 6. Looks like I need a crank pin kit to keep the pulley from spinning on the crank.
Pull #3 : Eased into the throttle to about 4.5k and then nailed it to try to get a good pull. At 9.5 AFR I made 455rwhp/418rwtq, haha, can you say RIIIIIIIICH. I didn't bother getting a printout. When we get the MAF. tranny and crank pin kit installed and everything straightened out it should be close to 600rwhp according to Ken@HPTuners who was helping tune with a wideband.
So :
- need to order new aluminum plenum
- need bigger/working MAF
- need crank pin kit
- need to check the trans slipping issue
So, no good results yet but at least I'm making a lot of power apparently...

Big thanks to Rob/Strictly and Ken from HPTuners for their expert advise and work. We'll have her putting out good power in no time, just need a little more finesse.
Cheers,
Rob (Bad30th)
