Knock retard after shift....help needed!
I have a supercharged 98 Camaro LS1 with a manual trans. The problem I have
is that after a shift (lift throttle), the timing spikes back to ~ 30
degrees and then when I put my foot back into it, it instantly picks up
knock retard. If I shift softly to that gear, and then go wide open throttle
just through that same exact gear, I have no knock retard. Obviously the
amount of time it takes the computer to pull timing under load is not fast
enough and it is causing some detonation before the computer pulls back the
timing to what I have programmed in the tables.
How can I tune to get rid of this problem? Is this something I would adjust
in the timing attack/decay tables?
Any help is appreciated!
Phil
Good idea.. can't see any reason to have lots of timing at high rpm low load so I will just make it the same as high RPM high load
