Phamspeed/ARE intercooler set up w/pics

Mario was extremely creative with my intercooler design. I was very concerned about losing too much structural and lateral strength if I lost my bumper so he came up with a very workable solution that adds strength and protects the intercooler itself

When the nose cone was removed we had to remove the foam, however ARE wanted the bumper back on for protection. The front bumper was unbolted cut and rewelded with an angular plate. After the bumper was redone 3" breathing holes were cut for air flow. The intercooler was bolted to the bumper and the whole assembly re-bolted to the car.
I think the whole thing looks great and is very funtional. The location is well seperated from the rad so airflow should be great over both the rad and intercooler

Here are some pics
Here is a picture of the incooler tubing, very high quality cast aluminum. This is very light and very strong

HellRaiser,
With those bends I will only need 3 silicone tubes to Hold it together. Each bend weighs almost nothing. I think we have come up with a creative way to get air over it as well. Since I have a Formula I will be cutting two front vents, one on either side of the license plate and have aluminum sheeting directing flow only ove the intercooler.
BTW, many of the ideas I came up with are a direct result of following your build up, you have some great ideas that I have modified for my set up. Credit where credit is due

What boost setting are you starting with for tuning? I would recommend about 12-15#s

With my triple fan set up cooling shouldn't be much of a problem.
