D-1SC Pulley Question

Default D-1SC Pulley Question

Okay so here's the question. How would you reduce the amount of boost on a D-1SC? Obviously a larger S/C pulley or a smaller crank pulley, or a combination of the two... but what have people used to do this. The guys at ATI said it can't be done (surprise)... I know someone has done it though. I'd like to get the boost in the 5-7 range. I just don't feel like running 8-9psi on my stock engine, but I want the D-1SC because it would support more HP in the future versus a P-1SC. I'll appreciate any information you guys have.

If it'll be a pain I suppose I'll just get the P-1SC... not exactly like it will be slow either way.

4.0 s/c pulley should net you 5-7psi
Call SDCE for more indepth info than what ATI provides.------->

Larger blower pulley = less boost. Thats it.

ATI superdampner and 8 rib crank pulley and a 4'' blower pulley on a D1 and your set. Stick with the D1, you cant go wrong.

Thanks guys. I wasn't sure what size the stock pulley was, and how much bigger you could go. Yeah talking to guys at an actual company sucks, I'd be better off talking to my damn dog. There shouldn't be a problem with belt slip with 4.0" pulley. Could you even run 6 rib with such a large blower pulley? I know... I said the "S" word, sorry. Just wondering, I know the consensus of this board to ditch the 6 rib on the F bodies.
