12 rib Procharger belt help...
Please if anyone can help; I'm replacing my 8 ribbed belt(43.5") with a 12 ribbed belt(41"). I've already tt Procharger and they said the best way is to take my blower pulley off, fit the belt over the crank and blower pulley & then manipulate the blower pulley back on the sc. I've been at this for the past hour and I'm not getting remotely close to getting the sc pulley back on; I was told by Procharger that this was the way to do it and that the belt that I got was correct! Any ideas or does someone know of any tips to putting the belt on.
P.S. I bought the sc secondhand and it came with both the 8ribbed belt and the 12 ribbed, but the 12 ribbed was in too bad of a shape to put it on so that is why I originally had the 8 ribbed on.

I don't get why your 8rib is longer than the 12 unless you changed pulleys it should be the same?? Try pulling one of the idler pulleys off instead, then put the belt on. Note- this would only work if the belt length and pulley diameter is the same as the 8rib.

Ya i havent a clue why the belt would be a different length. If anything i woudl think it bigger so they would make the crank pulley bigger and the SC pulley bigger so as to have alot more meat to grab onto. Otherwise if the pullies that you pulled off are teh same diameter as the ones that you are putting back on then there is definatly no reason to have a smaller belt. Im sure that you know that so is it eh case that the pullies are actually smaller then the ones that you took off? GL man

Yeah, I'm going to be checking pulley sizes tonight; the guys at Procharger let me know which pulleys will work with which length belts...Thank you for steering me in the right direction!!!
