Meth on a Stock Bottom End

Meth on a Stock Bottom End All of my buddies with Higher boost mustangs are using meth and trying to talk me into putting a kit on my ws6. Is it worth doing on a stock bottom end with 7-8lbs..What can I expect to gain? Better to put a small shot of Nitrous? Same car as last year except new trans... Need a little more...
Meth doesnt make a ton of horsepower if that is the ONLY thing that you do. It is a coolant first and a fuel second. So the idea behind it is that it cools intake temps and there for you make more hp. The other, adn better IMHO, effect is that it lets you add alot of timing. I am currently running 13 degrees of timing adn when i get meth ill be able to go close to 25. That will alone add a **** load of hp. The reason for adding timing and not jsut adding more boost is it makes more power with less load on alot of the internals. It is alot easier to lift the heads off the block if you have alot of boost, 15psi+. Where as if you run 10 psi and alot of timing with meth you will still make alot of power just less stress.
Nitrous is a good additive but to do that you need to get even more fuel into the engine. I think that once you have 2 power adders you are jsut askin for trouble. It makes tuning a nightmare. Boost wants to cause detonation as does nitrous.
So to sum it all up ther is a BIG + to getting meth and there is no real downfalls to it besides havein 2 tanks to fill up oin ya car instead of one. One big advantage there is that nitrous is real expensive to refill where meth you will get alot of use out of a gallon. GL amn
