at what rpm does the boost build in a sts setup? Just like the title says. I also would like to know if this is only at WOT or will this build just cruising around and/or maintaining rpm? I have never owned a forced induction car before so I'm not really familiar with characteristics of the turbo.
There are too many variables to really answer your question. There are standard and gt trim turbos, standard and ball bearings, different housing sizes and ratios, and totally different size turbos. And the engine makes a big difference too- displacement, cam, intake, etc. I almost forgot- manual or automatic trans and if auto, what stall converter. Sorry, just no simple way to answer you question. Depending on the combo, boost could happen anywhere from off-idle (great), to over redline, in which case you would never spool up.

The size of the turbo and all it's other related factors is the same as the default from the sts kit without a turbo upgrade. The size of the engine is the stock size of a ls1. Stock cam. And the trans would be a stick in this case. I am really looking for an answer from an owner of an STS kit. Someone with first hand experience not someone with theoretical knowledge.
