What size stall with a turbo setup?

Default What size stall with a turbo setup?

I think about a 3000 would be nice. Sound about right? Yank's converter guide said the same thing and I think most would find anything smaller to be too little.

What stalls are you turbo A4 guys running?

scotty, i think it depends a lot on the cam you have in your motor too. are you planning on going FI?

whats the buildup gonna involve?

actually cam choice is a small part. its where the turbo spools up and makes its peak tq (where it spools up). on the bigger turbos you will need a bigger convertor.

The Yank PYE series is made for FI cars, give them a call and they will size you right up, If you dont like it Im pretty sure you get one free stall change. PYE will be my next TC.

I was running a Yank Pro4000 in my PT-72 powered stock engine TA.. I had it destalled to about 3300 and that seemed perfect with the stock cam. It took no time to light the turbo and off-the-line stall was perfect, just enough to get to 2000 rpm and launch hard without breakin loose. 1.6 60fts were easily obtained with high 11 time slips..
