It has a spool. Sucks on the street but needed at the track. The tires are 28x10.5W on 10" wide 7.5" bs wheels with a stock width rear. I run a 3/16 spacer as well. There was a lot of beating on the inner well to get them to fit. Also had to do some work on the bumper cover. Well worth it.

The car has not been on a dyno with this setup. But should be somewhere between 800-900rwhp. On a side note the Formula just maxed out a 1200 hp dyno at 7000 rpm. We shift it near 8000.

Thanks everyone.

Mike, are you running stock rear springs, not cut, with no spring cup, just the springs sleeved with hose?

Yeah you are right Stu...looks just like mine but way faster. Actually I thought it looked slow but all the turbo cars do until they get into the 8s. Of course we know it isnt slow
Yeah Mike ran 9s a LONG time ago and I still cant get there with the same setup.
Nice times Mike......I am even more jealous now!!!

Yep, I can't lower the car in the back because I still run my factory wheels on the street. 275/40 MT radials.

Cable, you'll get there. Just takes time and money. You would actually have the best Incon times if your car was as light as mine used to be. I'm sure that doesn't make you feel any better though.

Basically the same as yours. But with 150lb injectors.

at Cable. The car is so smooth and going so straight right now that it really doesn't feel that fast. Plus it isn't really pulling all that hard untill the converter locks up in third. Which is right before the 1/8th. The car is a dog coming out of the hole and for the first 330' because the converter is so loose. That is being fixed now and from what we have experienced before with the Formula. It should be real interesting when I get it back to the track.

i can KINDA understand what you are saying...mine feels like 13s again with the MT DRs and no sway. I wonder if I should lock my converter sooner. I lock mine around 110 which is around the 1/8 mark. I am gonna go dyno again tomorrow on your old baby cam and less boost. I am going to an import dyno day...my turd should be fun!!

Did you feel you NEEDED the spool? I am surprised you went that direction. Is it the t-brake that makes it necessary becuase of a more violent launch?

Good luck at the dyno. Dyno Queen.

I had to have it lock up soon because It just wasn't moving down the track. I actually smoked the lockup clutch in the converter because I was locking it up so soon with the converter as loose as it was. Basically the converter was slipping 40-50% when the clutch applied and it didn't like it. The revision of this converter is going to be badass.

I tore up two posi units then went to the spool. I was thinking locker but heard mixed reviews. It's had a spool for over 1.5 years. I'm used to it and it's not that bad with full size tires in front.

ahh ok so it was basically a necessity to get the spool. I am actually going to the dyno to see where I need to set up my shift points
