Not making any boost ?!?!
Im new to this whole f.i. thing. Got the blown bird about 3 weeks ago. She is supposed to make 8-11 pounds of boost. She is only making 3-4. I changed the plugs (wasnt fun) and no difference. She is also mis firing between 4-5 thousand rpms. But its only some times. And when I am some where like a drive thru or traffic for 30 minutes she gets 3/4's way on the temp gauge. Then I pull over and run the fan so it blows the hot air in to the car and out of the engine. My friend looked at the belt and said I need a new one. The man who built the engine 3 months ago says he will dyno tune it and look at it again in 2 weeks (soonest he can see me). I am wondering lets say I get it dynotuned (assuming the belt is gone) would the bad belt affect the results of my dyno or dynotunning? How hard is to change the belt my self? I would love the 8 rib pulleys and belt but $$$
Thanks,
Crystal
