Default Procharger

I have a 2000 SS, its pretty much bone stock. I have Flowmaster exhaust and a K&N. My buddy is getting a 03-04 Cobra and i want to be able to hang with him, if not beat him. Would a Procharger P-1SC put me in that area, or would i have to go D-1SC. Or, is there another way to get there?

I have one other question and its kind of a stupid one, i have no idea how methanol injection works, could someone explain it? How does it work with a Procharger?

Bone Stock You Will Hang With
Get A Procharger Either One And You Will Burn Him But I Reccommed The D1sc I Just Ordered One My Self.

And Methonal Injection Works Like A Dry Nitrous Kit Right Into Your Intake It Is For Cooling The Intake Temps And Create More Power They Come With A Contoller So As Your Boost Climbs So Does The Methonal.my Friend Has It On His Lightning He Produced 3 More Pounds Of Boost

Thanks for the info! If you don't mind me asking, where did you order your D1SC kit from and how much did it cost? What injectors and programmer are you getting? Thanks!

Im In Colorado And I Ordered In From Grc Performance In California So There Was No Tax It Is The D1sc 8 Rib Race I Kit Have Ford Racing 42lbs Injectors And Grc Is Going To Email Me A Program For Tuning But I Will Get It Dyno Tuned Anyway The Kit Was $5200

What would the performance difference be on a stock LS1 with a P-1SC compared to a D-1SC?

For both superchargers to make 8 psi of boost, the D-1SC typically doesn't need to be spun as fast, meaning the pulley size can be larger. A larger pulley gives the belt more contact for less of a potential of having slippage problems. The P-1SC should start to bring the boost in sooner, but I have never been able to tell a difference. Either one will erupt the tires in smoke.
As has been mentioned, the P-1SC is 50 state certified, for those of you who have to contend with the stringent Californian pollution laws. The P-1SC is also eligible for a 3 year warranty from ATI, where the D-1SC only comes with a one year. Which one would I choose? The D-1SC, as it allows for future displacement increases and better flowing heads and hotter cams, without running out of breath. Bob

Stock for stock, a cobra will definately pull on the SS. Also, how does a meth kit increase boost? It lowers iat's and increases octane. THere is no reason boost would increase.

Does having the supercharger mounted so low cause any problems? What about in bad weather or snow?

The superchargers are mounted under the hood, not under the car.
