most people here go with the D1-sc. i think the polished vortech looks better and will perform just as well as the D1-sc to a certain boost. the D1 will support alot more power than the vortech. the vortech has less problems with slipping belts than the D1 unless you buy the SDCE tensioner setup and that will cure the slipping belts for the D1. do a search, there is 15,000,000,000 threads on this topic.
i agree with the above and it depends on how far you want to go..... The ATI kit with the D1-SC needs either the 8 rib setup from ATI or SDCE to work well... it slips with 4-5 psi with out it..... but alot of us are boycotting ATI now...... really crappy customer service, bald face lies, and alt more crap......

Go with F1-R ATI Blower. Nothing out there(Vortech YSi or NOVI2000 RACE) will come close to this head unit. Im not sure if SDEC will make you a kit around the F1-R. I know it will fit on the same bracket as the D-1SC, but it will need some trimming and moving the radiator around to make it fit.
